Regina died peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 3, 2019, just 11 days before her 76th birthday. She was born at the Waseca Hospital on November 14, 1943 to Eldor and Irmgard (Tesch) Schoenrock. She was baptized at the First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. Regina graduated from New Richland High School with the class of 1961. On April 7, 1963, Regina married O’Dean Miller at the First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. They made their home northwest of New Richland, where together they farmed and proudly raised their children on the Miller family century farm. A dedicated farmer’s wife, Regina was organized, resourceful, and self-sufficient. She valued hard work and lived her life as such. In addition to raising her family, running the household, and supporting her husband, she was a 4-H leader, and enjoyed the process of maple syruping. She was a prodigious gardener who generously shared the overflowing rewards of her garden with friends, neighbors, and family! Regina will be remembered as a great steward of the earth who strove to leave the world a better place.

She enjoyed being a homemaker, playing cards, and never turned down an opportunity to dance! Regina was an ardent sports fan, loyally cheering on the NRHEG Panthers and all Minnesota sports teams. Spending time with her grandchildren and following them in all their activities and sporting events brought much joy to her life! No holiday gathering was complete without Regina’s renowned cherry cheesecake! Historically the Miller family has volunteered, served on the board and helped maintain St. Peter Cemetery, Regina was very instrumental in continuing this tradition. Strong in her faith, Regina was very active in St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Regina is survived by daughters: Jodi (Steve) Miller-Hammes of Rochester, MN, Cheryl (Joe) Schleper of Delano, MN, Lynn Miller (Tim Rownd) of Rochester, MN; grandchildren: Taylor and Ashley Hammes, Adam and Anna Schleper, Ethan and Addison Williams; brothers Kermit Schoenrock of New Richland, David Schoenrock of Waseca; sister-in-law: Corrine Miller of Owatonna, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
