Private family Funeral Services for Mavis D. Beighley will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at First Lutheran Church, Glenville, MN. Vicar Josh Blair will officiate. A visitation for the public will be held from 4 – 6 PM on Tuesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville.

Mavis passed away on Sunday, June 14, at her home in Gordonsville. She was 85. She was born on March 9, 1935, in Northwood, Iowa, the daughter of Julius and Ruby (Peterson) Hauge. She graduated from Northwood High School On February 21, 1957, Mavis was united in marriage to Elton Dale Beighley at First Lutheran Church, Glenville. The couple was blessed with one son, Steve. She had worked at Clothing Care in Albert Lea and was a lunch lady at the Glenville Schools. Mavis loved to sew, especially tablecloths and quilts. She enjoyed game shows and word finds. Mavis’s flower beds were her passion, she had a real knack with plant and flowers. Mavis also loved time spent with her grandchildren.

Mavis is survived by a son, Steve (Sue) Beighley of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Stephanie (Kaleb) Ruehling, Sam Beighley, Dalynn (Victor) Wildman, and; great-grandchildren, Novah, Kaison and Kaiden Ruehling, Jackson Beighley, Jameson, Bayleigh, and Henley Wildman; sister Mary Ann (Marvin) Thompson of Glenville, MN, brother LaVerne (Darlene) Hauge of Albert Lea, brother-in-law Palmer Peterson, sister-in-law Sharon Hauge as well as many other relatives and friends.

Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elton, grandson Jameson in infancy, sisters Crystal Peterson and Arlene Knaack and her husband Richard and brothers, Dwayne Hauge and Jerome Hauge and his wife Evelyn.
