Mr. William "Bill" House died peacefully on Saturday, June 20, in Owatonna, Minnesota at the age of 96. 

Bill is survived by his daughter Janet (Paul) Lahr. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (Divan) House; his son Larry House; his parents Louise and Cordelia (Harp) House; and his sister Vivian Arnold.

Bill was born on May 28, 1930 in Belvidere, Nebraska to Louis & Cordelia (Harp) House. He graduated from high school with a letter in Basketball and Baseball. He went on to receive a two-year degree as a railroad agent. He worked for fourty-one years as an agent for the Rock Island Railroad. Bill served two years in the Korean War with the Army/Air Force as a communications specialist while stationed in Osan, South Korea.

Bill and Marilyn (Divan) were married on February 19th, 1956 in Albion, Nebraska, and welcomed a baby boy, Larry, and then their baby girl, Janet. The family were deeply involved in the Calvary Baptist Church in Albert Lea, where Bill served as a deacon. He was also a pastor in the bus ministry for children for several years. He is remembered for his firm handshake, big smile and warm heart for others. He loved to read, travel throughout the U.S. and Europe, play cards, and was an avid fan of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team.

Bill will be buried with his wife in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea, Minnesota.
