Wayne Rodrick Hanna

Wayne Rodrick Hanna, age 68, passed away on April 11, 2026. A private family service will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Wayne was born on October 26, 1957 at Bon Secours Nursing Home-Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England to Robert and Brenda (Bolton) Hanna. Because of his father’s Airforce service, Wayne lived many places in the United States and Europe including England, France, Duluth, Minnesota, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, California, and Bricelyn, Minnesota before moving to New Richland, MN. He attended New Richland High school and graduated in the Class of 1976. On June 15, 1979, Wayne was united in marriage to Melodee Gosewisch in Waseca, Minnesota. The couple, of 46 years, made their home in the country outside of New Richland and the later moved to Ellendale, Minnesota. Wayne began working for Brown Printing right out of high school and continued to work there for 40 plus years as a master press operator. When the plant closed, he went to work for Daikin Applied where he worked for 8 years as a break cell operator.

In his free time, Wayne always had projects of some kind going. He was a home handyman and enjoyed yard work and woodworking. His greatest love was spending time with his family whenever he had the chance.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Melodee; sons, Jonathan (Jessica and Jeffrey (Emily); brother Bob (LaVon); sisters, Gwen Sundve and Rhonda (Ryan) Lorenzen; grandchildren, Lucan, Aaden, Zander, Preston, Ava, Sienna, Caden and Ethan; brothers in law, Marvin Gosewisch and Steve Sundve; Sister in-Law, Bonnie Gosewisch; many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert George Hanna and Brenda (Boltln) Hanna; grandparentsGeorge R. and Cora May and Thomas and Mary Bolton; Father and Mother in-law, William Gosewisch and Judith (Marks) Gosewisch; brothers in-law Mark Gosewisch and Bryan Gosewisch; sister in-law, Lynn (Zemple) Gosewisch; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
