Walter passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Home. He was 75 years old.
Walter Dale Hall was born on November 17, 1940 to James and Ella (Pitzner) Hall in Albert Lea. He grew up in Albert Lea, and was a resident of this area his entire life. Walter began work at an early age, doing anything he could to help provide for his family. On March 6, 1960, he was united in marriage to Patricia (Simonson) at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The family was blessed with three sons.
Walter worked as an over the road trucker. His last job he was contracted through Pro Trucking, and worked there until his retirement at the age of 62. Following his retirement, you could find Walter having morning coffee with his buddies, going on road trips with his friends to look at old cars and tractors, or find him in his garage, gazing at traffic going by his home. He can be described as a hardworking, strong willed man that always provided for his family. He was strong in stature and appearance, but all you had to do was ask him, and he would say "I'm a really nice guy!" which he was.
He is preceded in death by parents, James (Ella) Hall; mother and father in-law, Elmer (Marie) Simonson; brothers, Alvin (Patricia) Hall and Arnold Hall; and a brother in-law, David Oquist.
He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Patricia; children, Bradley Hall, Andrew (Laura) Hall, Terry (Jodi Eckhardt) Hall, and Spike Bauers; grandchildren, Angela, Daniel, Tyler, Cody, Jacob, Mckenzie, Justin, Samantha, Joey, Tia, and Trevor; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Oquist; brothers and sisters in-law, Donna Hall, Eugene Simonson, Yvonne (Dean) Kauffman, Carolyn (Dexter) Blood, Jerry Simonson and Larry Simonson; close friends, Norm Larson, Junior DeRaad, and Terry "Barney" Bendickson; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice, First Lutheran Church, or St. John's Lutheran Home.
