Victor Christenson

Victor Lynn Christenson of Albert Lea, Minnesota passed away on September 15, 2026 at Heartland Senior Living in Wells, Minnesota. A memorial of his life will be held at Edgewater Park on October 2, 202 6.

Vic was born on July 17, 1952 at Naeve Hospital to his parents Ray and Hazel (Sward) Christenson. He was baptized at Emmons Lutheran Church in Emmons, MN. He attended Emmons Public School. Growing up, Vic loved being outdoors working on the farm. He especially loved working with horses. He camped out a lot and did a lot of hunting and fishing. Vic married Monice Sjongren on June 28, 1975 at Emmons Lutheran Church. Together they had two sons, Shawn Thomas and Kevin Daniel. Shawn died at birth.

Vic is survived by his son, Kevin; two sisters, Rose (Carl) Glienke and Nancy Walterman; six brothers, Robert, Fred, Will, Dave, Phil and Jon; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shawn; sister, Marjorie Solberg; three brothers, Raymond Jr., Palmer and Steve.
