Timm Sternhagen

Timm's family will hold private Memorial Services at Bonnerup Funeral Service. Father Kurt Farrell will officiate.  Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Cemetery. Timm died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, after several years of health issues.  He was 59 years old.

Timm Bradley Sternhagen was born on February 26, 1961, in Albert Lea, the son of Ray and Delores (Stiehl) Sternhagen. Timm attended St. Theodore’s School, Lakeview School, and Brookside Junior High.  He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1979, and continued his education at Austin Technical School, completing Auto Body and Truck Driving training.He had been employed at Good Samaritan Center, Streaters and Hormel.

Timm was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and also the Eagles Club. He enjoyed country living, riding horses snowmobiling and riding motorcycles.  He especially loved music and playing the guitar. He was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

Timm will be remembered as very hardworking guy. He had an articulate talent in everything he accomplished and a very unique sense of humor.  The pride and joy of his life was his daughter Desiree. He cherished time spent with her.  Memorable times were spent at the family cabin on Beaver Lake, boating, waterskiing and fishing.

Timm is survived by his daughter Desiree Sternhagen of Janesville, MN, his mother Delores Sternhagen of Albert Lea, brother Todd (Julie) Sternhagen of Albert Lea, sister Tari (Louis) Barnes of Mantorville, MN, nephews and nieces:  Derek (Anne) Sternhagen of Albert Lea,  Samantha (Trever) Register of Albert Lea,  Harrison and Hayden Barnes of Mantorville, MN, great nieces and nephews, Drake, Ashton, Raegan, Taysha, Kalia, and Keegan, aunts  Evelyn Soukup, Ione Karolevitz and Marjorie Sternhagen, uncle Don (Jan) Sternhagen and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Ray, his brother Troy and several aunts, uncle and cousins. Timm will be greatly missed.  Blessed be his memory.

To protect the health and safety of all, services are currently being limited as required by state and local authorities and the CDC.
