Steven Bradley Gregerson, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Albert Lea on February 7, 2024 at the age of 72.
Born on May 27, 1951, to Charles and Bernie (Foelster) Gregerson, Steve grew up in Albert Lea alongside his brother Mike. After graduating from Albert Lea High School, Steve found his lifelong love, Sue, and they exchanged vows on November 2, 1974. Together, they nurtured a loving family, raising three wonderful daughters - Tammy, Tricia, and Tara.
Steve worked at Alamco Wood Products for many years, and during his leisure time, he immersed himself in the simple pleasures of life. His deep appreciation for sports and the great outdoors was particularly noteworthy. Bowling, camping, and fishing expeditions at Mille Lacs Lake were cherished moments he shared with his family. His commitment as a father went beyond providing; he actively engaged in the lives of his children, teaching them sports and outdoor activities, and cheering them on from the sidelines. Steve's dedication to both providing for his family and being fully present for every milestone, joy, and challenge in their lives has left an enduring impact on those he loved.
Despite facing physical challenges in his later years, Steve's spirit remained unbroken and devoted to his family. His love grew even larger as a grandpa, where he inquired about every grandchild's sport, school endeavors, and even their beloved animals. Even when it seemed he wasn't paying attention, he surprised everyone by chiming in, making it impossible to keep secrets from him. The small joys, like chicken nuggets, drinking a Coke or a drive around the lake, brought him profound happiness. He faced each day with resilience and an absence of complaint. His love for his family transcended the limitations of his body, expressed through heartfelt questions, declarations of love, and tales of cherished times that will stay etched in memories for years to come.
Steve’s memory will be cherished by his wife Susanne Gregerson; three daughters-Tammy (Troy) Oudekerk, Tricia (Derek) Lau, and Tara (Juan) Gregerson-Lopez; five grandchildren- Katelyn, Makenna, Brandtley, Ariana, and Cora; and his brother- Mike Gregerson.
Welcoming Steve home are his parents, Charles and Bernie Gregerson; his father and mother-in-law Vern and Harriet Classon; his grandparents; and other relatives.
