Obituary for Stephanie Ann Hanna



The funeral service for Stephanie Ann Hanna will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 7, 2004, at the New Richland/Hartland/Ellendale/Geneva High School Auditorium in New Richland, MN. The Reverend Joel Xavier and Father Thien Nguyen will officiate. Burial will be in Geneva Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the NRHEG High School Auditorium. Friends and family may gather for a sharing time at 10:00 AM on Saturday in the Auditorium. Friedrich Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.



Stephanie died on Monday, August 2, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident. She was 16 years old.



Stephanie was born in Owatonna, MN on November 12, 1987, the daughter of Robert and Sandy (Stover) Hanna. She lived in Owatonna until 1996, when she moved with her parents to Geneva, MN. She was a member of Community Lutheran Church in Geneva where she had been confirmed. She had worked for one year in the kitchen of Gopher Stop North and she also enjoyed babysitting her nephew.



Stephanie had completed 10th grade at NRHEG High School. She was very athletic and had lettered in track, volleyball, basketball, and softball. Her passion was playing basketball and she was proud of her team winning 4th place in the 2003-04 state basketball tournament. She also played in the Austin Summer Basketball League and her team, ?The Sparks? were the 2004, Gus Macker Tournament Champions.



Stephanie was artistic and enjoyed doing pencil drawings. She also liked boating, camping and particularly spending time with her family, friends and special friend, Bryan Kormann.



Stephanie is survived by her parents, Bob and Sandy Hanna of Geneva, MN; one sister, Amanda Hanna of Geneva; one brother, Spencer Hanna of Geneva; grandparents: Reuben and Eleanor Hanna of Lake Mills, IA and Stan and Judy Stover of Albert Lea, MN; great grandparents, Kay and Harvey Matson of Bricelyn, MN; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.



She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Malena Swenson; great aunt and uncle, Robert and Anita Johnson; special friend, Bryan Kormann.



Stephanie will be sadly missed by her friends and family. Blessed be her memory.
