Rodney Alan Hunt

Rodney (Rod) Alan Hunt died on November 29, 2025 at the age of 78 at St. Mark’s Living in Austin, Minnesota.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Chase Hunt, and his parents, Leo and Mary Hunt of Michigan.

He is survived by his sister Julie Hunt (Herbert Garelick) of North Carolina, his three brothers Jeff (Donna), Russ (Toni), and Jon (Barb) all of Michigan and nieces and nephews.

Rod graduated from Gobles High School, Michigan, in 1964 and served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He settled in Albert Lea, Minnesota and met and married his wife Mary there in 1980. Mary died in July 2025. He worked at and retired from the Albert Lea Seed House. Rod loved gardening, vegetables and flowers, going to the casino and attending the annual Minnesota State Fair.

His ashes will be interred at a later date at the Graceland Cemetery in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
