Rachel Verna Senne

Rachel Verna Senne, age 96, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Home in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Rachel was born on November 27, 1929, in Brown County, Minnesota, the daughter of Alfred and Verna (Trebesch) Zimanski. She grew up and attended school near Springfield, Minnesota.

On October 22, 1949, Rachel married Roland "Bud" Senne in Fairmont, Minnesota. Together, they shared 61 years of marriage and moved to Albert Lea to raise their two children, Vicki Lynn and Roland Jr.

Rachel worked as a machine operator at Ventura Foods. Outside of work, she enjoyed creating beautiful counted cross-stitch pictures featuring animals and nature scenes. She was an active member of the Albert Lea Moose Club and especially cherished spending her summers at the lake near Grand Rapids, Minnesota, where she enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and time away.

Rachel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bud, and her son-in-law, Kenneth Kooser.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Lynn Kooser; her son, Roland Senne Jr., and his wife, Rebecca; two grandsons, Jason Senne and his wife, Kimberly, and Justin Senne; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah Kilpatrick, Kayla Senne, Preston Senne, Nolan Senne, and Levi Senne.

Rachel will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her creativity, and the many memories she created throughout her 96 years. Her legacy lives on through the generations of family she leaves behind, who will cherish her memory and the time they shared with her.

Interment will be in Hillcrest cemetery at a later date.
