Patricia Jean Dollum, 89, affectionately known as "Pat," passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, at Our House Senior Living in Austin, Minnesota.
Patricia was born on October 18, 1936, in Albert Lea, MN to Phillip and Mabel (Stoen) Henry. She was one of nine children. An Albert Lea native, Pat graduated from Albert Lea High School and pursued studies in Education at Albert Lea College. On July 28, 1956, she married Norman Dollum at Salem Lutheran Church, a union rooted in love and faith. Her professional life was characterized by long-standing commitments to her work and community. For 35 years she worked as a binder at Trades Publishing and as a waitress at Kohler Motel.
Pat lived a life marked by dedication to her family, friends and community. Her love shone through her personality, warmth and care for others. She made weekly visits to Hawthorne School, where she took immense pride in reading to children. Pat looked forward to fellow-shipping and sharing in her faith with the Salem Lutheran Church women's group. Her personal interests included camping with her family, watching the Minnesota Twins, and trips to the casino.
Pat is survived by her children Kent (Rebecca) Dollum, and Kim (La Dean) Purdie; their children and their children's children; and her sister Sarah Eikenberry. She was a proud grandmother to Brady Purdie, Amanda Purdie, and Devon Purdie, and a great-grandmother to Gianna, Owen, and Logan Purdie, all of whom meant the world to her.
Pat is preceeded in death by her parents Phillip and Mabel (Stoen) Henry; her husband, Norman Dollum; their son Curtis Dollum; her cherished grandson Trevor Purdie; and seven of her brothers and sisters.
A memorial service honoring Pat will be held on Friday, May 22, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 2210 East Main Street in Albert Lea, MN 56007, begining at 2 PM. She will be inurned at Graceland Cemetery. Through her devotion, warmth, and spirit, Patricia leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
