Orville Eugene Bolduan, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 92. He was born on March 2, 1933, in Waseca County, Minnesota, to Edward and Alice (Eckart) Bolduan.
Orville married the love of his life, Mary Helen Miller, on July 19th, 1958. The couple moved to New Richland in 1961 and raised their two children, Sue and Dennis,
Orville spent many years as a heavy equipment operator, but his true passion was farming, where he worked the land with love and dedication - even during the most challenging times. Orville was known for his strength, kindness and willingness to give a helping hand. His legacy will not be forgotten. Orville was a proud veteran of the United States Army and also served as a member of the American Legion in New Richland for many years after his service.
Orville’s devotion to his family was unwavering, and he was a cherished role model to his children and grandchildren. Orville and Mary loved dancing - whether it be square dancing, ballroom dancing, or just dancing in a family member’s garage. Mary passed away in 2017, and Orville missed her every day until he joined her in heaven.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Bolduan, infant son George Bolduan, parents Edward and Alice Bolduan, sister Grace Mehls, brother Bernard Bolduan, and many beloved brother and sister in laws.
Orville is survived by his loving children: Sue (John) Burke and Dennis (Melissa) Bolduan, grandchildren: Megan Burke (Robby Hubbs), Sean Burke (Adeline), Brandon (Bre) Jensen, Tyler (Kourtney Giefer) Bolduan, and Paige (Alex Benson) Bolduan, great-grandchildren: Caiden Jensen and Grady Burke, along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and one very special friend Vada Dahnert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Richland. A memorial service will follow at 11:00, interment with military honors at Saint Peter’s Cemetery in New Richland. All are welcome to join the family for lunch in the church basement.
Orville’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the healthcare professionals at Foxdale Senior Living Center, and St. Croix Hospice who cared for him during his final days. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
