Norieta LuAnn Rippentrop

Norieta LuAnn (Noordmann) Rippentrop, a beloved resident of Albert Lea, left this world on October 23, 2026, at the age of 89. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 2, 2026, at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

She was born on June 14, 1937, in Ackley, Iowa, to Herman and Martha Noordmann. Her formative years were spent with her Grandma Anna Johns, where she attended Ackley High School before pursuing further education at Hamilton Business College in Mason City, Iowa.

It was there she met Donald Rippentrop, her true partner, whom she married on June 14, 1958. The couple moved to Albert Lea the same year, planting roots when they bought their home on East Third Street. They welcomed their daughters, Layle on March 23, 1960 and Brenda on June 24, 1966, who brought great joy to their family.

Norieta's life was enriched by the joy of family—her laughter and guidance woven throughout family gatherings and their travels together. She and Don explored the beauty of Ely, Minnesota, and cherished the winters spent as snowbirds in Port Aransas, Texas.

Norieta’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her daughters and their families Layle (Kevin) Fischer of Albert Lea, MN and Brenda (Todd) Meier of Ham Lake, MN, along with treasured grandchildren Daniel Fischer of Albert Lea, MN, Kelsey Meier of Ham Lake, MN, and Allison Meier of Eau Claire, WI.

In addition to her parents, Herman and Martha Noordmann, Norieta was preceded in death by her husband Donald Rippentrop.
