Mark Donald Falk

Mark Falk, 64, passed away at home on May 12, 2025. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit, and deep love for the outdoors.

Born on March 17, 1961, to Donald and Peter (Hoese) Falk, Mark grew up in Albert Lea, Minnesota, as the eldest of three brothers. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1979.

In his early adult years, Mark lived in Twin Lakes, Minnesota, where he worked alongside his father on the family’s buffalo farm. He was also a dedicated employee of the family business, Interstate Meat Service, where he worked from 1978 until 2007. Mark was known for his friendly demeanor and strong work ethic.

Later in life, Mark made his home in Duluth, Minnesota, a city he came to love. No matter the season, he could be found biking its trails and streets with his dog by his side. Whether fishing, working in his yard, or plowing a neighbor’s driveway just to lend a hand, Mark found peace in nature and joy in life’s simple moments.

He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Tom Falk, who remains forever in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Peter (Hoese) Falk of Albert Lea; his brother, Steve Falk of Albert Lea; his sister-in-law Cindy Falk of Champlin; and his nieces and nephews: Holly Falk, Michael Falk, Brady Falk, Katie Falk, and Stephi Dorosh (Falk).

Mark will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11 AM at Bonnerup Funeral and Cremation Services in Albert Lea with Reverend John Holt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM.
