Mark Cooper

Mark Steven Cooper, age 75, or Albert Lea, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Community on Fountain Lake.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd at 11:00 AM until time of Service at 11:30 AM at Bonnerup Funeral and Cremation Services, 2210 E. Main Street, Albert Lea, followed by interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Albert Lea.

Mark was born in Albert Lea to Roy and Carol (Thorson) Cooper on December 4, 1949. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1968. In January of 1970, Mark enlisted in the United States Navy. He honorably served his country for over four years as a Hospital Corpsman during the Vietnam War.

Mark was a devoted member of the First Baptist church. During his time there, he served as a Deacon and sang in the choir. In his earlier years, Mark enjoyed playing golf. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Marked loved music, especially that of the Beatles. He was committed to his family, and enjoyed spending time with this niece and nephew.

Mark is survived by his sister, Nancy (James) Cope, niece Kaitlin Cope and nephew Geoffrey Cope.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Carol Cooper, and sister Lori Cooper.

Mark's memory will live on forever in all who knew and loved him.
