Marilyn Rovang, 72, of Twin Lakes, MN passed away peacefully on November 2nd, 2025 with her husband by her side after a long battle with lung cancer. On January 31st, 1953, she was born in Norwich, England to Alan & Jean Greaves. It was there she later met the love of her life, Jack Rovang, while he was serving in the Air Force. They married in 1971 in Norwich and welcomed a son, Shane, on March 9, 1972. They later had a daughter, April on December 4th, 1978 and settled in Twin Lakes, MN to raise their family.
Marilyn worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years before going back to school at the age of 42 to become a Registered Nurse. She then inspired her daughter April to do the same later in life. Marilyn was a lover of all animals and her home was never without a dog or cat. She loved her family with all her heart and put their needs above her own no matter the cost. She was a devoted wife and was happiest spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren who were her entire world. You would often find her at her grandkids' sporting/school events, even after being awake for 24hrs after working as a nurse. Her warmth, kindness and laughter touched everyone who knew her. She will be missed so very much by her family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Jack, daughter April Rovang Johnson (Jonathan), granddaughters Ava Johnson, Rae Rovang, grandson Jack Rovang, sister Sallyanne, and brothers John, Charles, Ivor, Darren and James. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Jean Greaves, and her beloved son Shane Rovang.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bonnerup Funeral Home in Albert Lea on Sunday, November 9th, 2025 from 1-4pm.
