Lorna Meister, of Albert Lea, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 79.
Lorna was born on July 29, 1947, in Bellflower, California, to John and Agnes Wolfswinkel. She grew up close to her parents, her two brothers, and her sister and best friend, Reva Jackson. On November 22, 1985, she was united in marriage to Charles Meister.
Lorna's career centered on caring for others. She especially enjoyed her years working with the elderly at both Good Samaritan and St. John's, and she took great pride in managing the kitchen staff, where many of her coworkers became close friends. She was proud to have employed seven of her grandsons over the years.
A devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lorna treasured every moment spent with her family. She found joy in cooking, shopping, decorating, and traveling. She enjoyed many vacations with her sister, children, grandchildren and extended family. She was an active member of the Elks and Eagles Clubs for many years. She adored her beloved pet, Emma.
Lorna was known for being able to talk to anyone. She had a huge heart, a compassionate nature, and she was accepting, friendly, and a lot of fun to be around.
She is survived by her children, Steven (Kristi) Kreun, Tammi Trittle, and Beth (Joe) Raper; her grandsons, Taylor Spooner, Trevor Spooner, Tanner Spooner (Tara Callahan), Steven A. Kreun, Jonathan (Ashton) Kreun, William Kreun, Joseph Kreun, Timothy Kreun, Andrew Raper, and Brion Raper; her great-grandchildren, Oakley Spooner, Derek Navarro, Bentley Spooner, and Ella Spooner; her sister, Reva Jackson; her sister-in-law, Morene Wolfswinkel and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Meister; her parents, John and Agnes Wolfswinkel; her son-in-law, Gary Trittle; her brothers, Larry Wolfswinkel and Ceaver (Ethel) Wolfswinkel; her brother-in-law, John Jackson; and her great-granddaughter, Tanlyn Spooner.
