Loren A. Bangert, 79, of Nerstrand, formerly of Albert Lea, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 9, 2020 with family by his side.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled once current restrictions are lifted.

He was born December 13, 1940 to Arnold and Wilma (Seberson) Bangert in Albert Lea MN and graduated with the class of 1958 from Albert Lea High School.

Loren was a lifelong farmer in the Glenville area and worked at Erlandson Implement.

On November 16, 2001 he married Diane Holz in Glenville and eventually moved to Nerstrand.

He enjoyed cars, being outside, short trips, farming, reading western books, being involved with church and spending time with family and friends.

Loren is survived by his wife of 19 years, Diane; children, Jeff (Jamie) Bangert of California, Pam Karge of Owatonna, Sharon O’Byrne (Phalen) of Albert Lea and Kristin (Ryan) Green of Albert Lea; grandkids, Bradley and Matthew Karge, Michael and Joshua O’Byrne, Ethan and Tanner Green; great-grandkids, Megan Karge and Graham Karge, Ava and Otto O’Byrne; twin sister, Lorraine Krukeberg of Mankato and many relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents.
