Funeral services for Lois E. Drommerhausen of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Pastor Al Stoa will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5 until 7 PM at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Lois died Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Home. She was 84 years of age.
Lois was born October 29, 1930 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Morris and Annie (Johannsen) Evenson. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1948. On October 30, 1949 she was united in marriage to Donald Drommerhausen at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.
Lois was employed by Naeve Hospital for over 30 years most recently in Medical records. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church where she was in the church circle and worked with holidays ahead. Lois enjoyed bowling and socializing with her friends, but most important was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren at all of their events.
Lois is survived by her husband Donald of Albert Lea, MN, sons Donn and his wife Debbie of Stillwater, MN, Terry and his wife Valerie of New Prague, MN, David and his wife Julie of Albert Lea, MN. There are five grandchildren; Mark (Michele) Drommerhausen of Stillwater, MN, Scott (Julie) Drommerhausen of Lake Elmo, MN, Emily (Jaret) Sievers of Sioux Falls, SD, Elizabeth (Phillip) Genskow of Fridley, MN, and Eric (Lauren Dordal) Drommerhausen of St. Paul, MN. Great grandchildren include; Cole, Connor, Charlie Drommerhausen, Jana Sievers, Evan, Aaron and Grace Parker. She is survived by sister Margaret Holstad, brother Morris (Daphne) Evenson, sisters-in-law Beverly (Martin) Oleson, Delphine Drommerhausen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, sister Irene (Alvin) Herth, brothers-in-law Mervin Holstad, Roland ( Priscilla) Dulitz.
