Leilani Armstrong

Leilani Marie Armstrong, age 83, died May 31, 2026 at her home in Alden, Minnesota. Lonny was born in Rochester, Minnesota the first of seven children. She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Raymond Leroy Armstrong. Lonny had three children, Wade Casey, Deed Casey, and Jason LaTouche. Lonny was also blessed to have nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Over the course of her rich life Lonny lived in Minnesota, Colorado, Alaska, Arizona, Connecticut, California, and then back to her birthplace Minnesota. A devout Catholic, she received her 1st Holy Communion in Fairbanks, Alaska where she also took care of her family’s dog sled team. Lonny was employed at various times as a factory line worker, a service worker, an office manager, and a sales person. Her passion in life was her family and she had her greatest peace when she found her 125 year old farmstead in Alden, MN and her family grew around her, filling her home with laughter, love, and life. She will be remembered as a person who led with kindness and saw the best in others.

Viewing to be held on Thursday, June 4 starting at 1 PM with the funeral to follow at 2 PM at Bonnerup Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN. In lieu of flowers, Lonny requests donations be made to the charity of the person’s choice.
