Kim Gulbrandson

Kim E. Gulbrandson, 66, of Albert Lea, passed away at his home on July 12, 2024.

Born on August 22, 1957, in Albert Lea, he was a son of the late James and Donna Mae (Schroeder) Gulbrandson.

Kim was a quiet soul with a passion for music and a penchant for playing the guitar. He was introspective, with a sharp wit that never failed to bring a smile to those around him. He attended Albert Lea Public Schools, where he cultivated a love for learning how things worked. Kim had a talent for taking things apart just to put them back together again, a skill that he honed while working in electronics alongside his father.

Those left to cherish Kim’s memory include a sister, Julie (Howard) Schewe, a brother, Randy Gulbrandson; two nephews, Andrew (Maria) Schewe and Randy Gulbrandson, Jr.; and a great-niece, Emma.

In addition to his parents, James and Donna Mae, Kim was preceded in death by an infant sister, Joni; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be held privately.
