June Colleen Jaspersen, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 7, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born on November 11, 1934, in Pineville, Louisiana, June spent her childhood surrounded by the warmth of family and the charm of the South. As a young teen, June moved with her family to Albert Lea, where she graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1953. After marrying Kenneth Manges, who sadly passed away, June found love again with Arlo Jaspersen, whom she married on January 1, 1969, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Together, they shared a beautiful 50 years of marriage, journeying through life hand in hand.
An active member of her church community, June devoted her time to teaching Sunday school and participating in various church activities. She had a passion for crocheting, creating cherished gifts for family and friends that will be treasured for years to come. June also had a love for travel, making wonderful memories as she explored destinations far and wide, including Hawaii, Scandinavia, Italy, London, Russia, and the Holy Land, as well as enjoying numerous cruises.
Above all, June cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and happiness. Her nurturing spirit, kindness, and humor touched the lives of all who knew her.
Those left to cherish June’s memory include her children, Dennis Jaspersen, Kim Jaspersen, Gayle (Bradley) Harig, and Cris Jaspersen; grandchildren, Rachel (Jason) Miller, Elizabeth (Jason) Alvarado, and Sarah Harig; great-grandchildren, Bode and Reese Miller and Francisco and Leo Alvarado; a brother, John Rendell, a sister-in-law, Jean Rendell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
June was preceded in death by her mother, LouVada Hall, her first husband, Kenneth Manges, her second husband, Arlo Jaspersen; brothers, Jerry Bohannon, Wayne Huddleston and Arthur Rendell; and several in-laws and extended family members.
June will be laid to rest at Carlston Cemetery in Alden, MN. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
