Jerold Duane Fulfs, age 74, of Albert Lea, MN died on May 8, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
A Celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 16th from 11:30 am until 2:00 pm at South Edgewater Park Large Pavilion North in Albert Lea, MN. Interment will be private at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Jerry was born in Albert Lea on June 23, 1950 to Otto and Opal (Holman) Fulfs. He attended Hammer Road Elementary School, followed by Lincoln School in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1969, after which he attended Waldorf College for two years. In 1972, Jerry married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Lahs.
Jerry worked for Farmstead for 19 years, until the business burned down. After that, he worked as a truck driver for about 2-3 years. During this time, Jerry attended Riverland College to become an electrician. He was a proud member of the IBEW Union as an electrician for 23 years. In 2017, Jerry retired from Xcel Energy.
Thanks to retirement, Jerry was able to spend his time riding motorcycles with Nancy, camping with their two granddaughters, and woodworking in his shop. He spent the last five winters exploring Harlington, Texas. Jerry could be found fishing at every chance he got, and was an angler fisherman.
Jerry was a member of Grace Lutheran Church while growing up. After marrying Nancy, he became a member of First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son Chad; granddaughters Samantha and Jennifer Fulfs; siblings Janice Kaehler; nieces and nephews Kim, Mark, Kris, Kathi, Matt, Brad, and Wendy; and his dog Skeeter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Opal Fulfs, brother Jim Fulfs, brother-in-law David Kaehler, nephew Michael Kaehler, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Elvira and Hilbert Lahs, best friend Richard Bolinger, and his dogs Molly and Lacey.
