Henry Martin Helgeson

Henry Martin Helgeson, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2026

Henry was born on July 22, 1943, to Glen and Mary (Frodin) Helgeson. He attended Austin High School and later enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country from 1967 to 1973.

Throughout his life, Henry enjoyed spending time outdoors, mowing, completing word finds, and watching movies. He also worked as a farmhand.

Henry is survived by his siblings, Gloria (Dan) Ash, Larry (Cheryl) Helgeson, and Kathy (Weld) Slegh; nieces, Christina (Lee) Holtberg and Laura Varner; along with several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mary Helgeson; his infant brother, Jerry; his sister, Cindy DeVries; and his nephew, Jacob Varner.

As loved ones reflect on Henry’s life, they also give thanks for the years he lived and the presence he brought to others. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing and peace in the days ahead.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
