Gary Dean Wilds

March 23, 1954 — October 25, 2025

Gary Dean Wilds passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 71. Gary lived a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family.

Born on March 23, 1954, in Albert Lea, to Herschel and Marion (Clark) Wilds, Gary grew up in Albert lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School, and went on to serve in the Army. Gary found himself stationed in Colorado Springs, where he would meet the love of his life, Bo Koung Cho. They were united in marriage on May 20, 1977, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and eventually settled down in Wells, where they welcomed two wonderful sons, Kevin and Justin, and built a life full of love and laughter.

A simple man at heart, Gary worked long hours, dedicating himself to providing for his family. In his free time, he cherished moments spent with Bo, whether it was playing cards, watching TV, or preparing for huge fish fries for friends and family. He had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly fishing, and he passed that passion on to his sons.

Music was a big part of Gary's life too; his home was often filled with the sounds of classic rock legends, like Lynyrd Skynyrd and AC/DC. Gary and Bo took great joy in singing together in the church choir. He also enjoyed watching sports, bonding with his sons over their favorite teams, the Vikings and the Twins.

Gary will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Justin and Kevin Wilds; along with his cherished granddaughters, Jayla and Bailey Wilds; and his brother Terry Wilds. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bo; his parents Herschel and Marion Wilds; and his brothers Ronny, Roger, and Eugene Wilds.

Gary's family wants to send a special thank you to the staff at Titonka Care Center for their amazing help and care for their father and Grandfather. Rest peacefully, Gary.
