The funeral service for Doris C. Larson of Albert Lea, Minnesota will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Pastor John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at

Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before at the church.



Doris died Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 82 years old.



Doris was born May 11, 1921 in rural Conger, Minnesota to Fred and Bertha (Lutteke) Heine. Doris grew up on a farm near Conger and attended Conger School. She married Corwin E. Larson on July 15, 1941 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Pickerel Lake. After her marriage, they moved to Albert Lea. Doris was a member of First Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School there. She also belonged to the Church circle.

Doris was a homemaker and worked many years for St. John's Lutheran Home. Doris especially enjoyed her family, providing for her family by canning vegetables and fruits; playing games with both family and friends; watching the Minnesota Twins; sewing and taking bus trips.



Doris is survived by her two children: Craig Larson of Albert Lea and Jodi Porter and her husband Larry of Northwood, Iowa; two grandchildren: Kathy and John Porter; brother and sisters: LeRoy and Lorene Behr of Conger, Ray and Julie Riemer of Albert Lea, Marie Nelson of St. Petersburg, Florida, John and Lois Mortensen of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kenneth and Sandy Heine of Conger, Gerald and Lois Heine of Conger and Shirley and Larry Petersen of St. Joseph, Minnesota.



Doris is preceded in death by her parents; husband Corwin E. Larson, brothers: Lawrence (Shorty) Heine and Clarence Heine; sister-in-law: Lucille Heine; brother-in-law: Ralph (Bud) Nelson.
