Former Albert Lea resident, Donald L. Kappas, 89 died March 18, 2012 in Pensacola, Florida. Family was by his side when he drifted off to be with those family members that he loved and preceded him. He is survived by his children Dennis and Pat Kappas, his sister Delores Sherburne, his former wife Elaine Kappas and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of others who knew him, including his longtime companion Helen.
A remembrance ceremony will be held at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea, MN, at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 14, 2012. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, celebrations of his life may be made to Easter Seals or American Veterans.
