It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Lyle Hansen, age 82, on October 23, 2025. Born on November 6, 1942, in Albert Lea to Lyle and Elizabeth (Bybee) Hansen, Dennis was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, whose spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dennis, a proud United States Navy veteran, dedicated his life to serving others, particularly as an property manager where he could extend his caring nature to residents and neighbors. Dennis and his life-long love Lucille Marie Nellis married on December 27, 1961, and went on to raise their beloved son Bradley. Dennis cherished his time spent with family and friends, always welcoming them into his home, which he and his wife lovingly kept open for companionship and laughter. His passions included fishing, bowling, and cooking, pursuits that brought him joy and allowed him to create memorable moments with those he loved.

He is survived by his son, Brad (Ketty) Hansen; his grandsons, Shawn and Tyler Hansen; his great-grandchildren, Bentley and Athena Hansen; and his cherished siblings, Suzanne (Hugh) Crawford, Ronald Hansen, Jerry Hansen, Rosie (John) Rasmussen, Donna (George) Hansen-Tucker, Julie Rustan, Frank (Roxy) Nellis and Jeff Hansen.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Elizabeth Hansen; his wife Lucille; his brother Tom Hansen; and his brother-in-law Rod Rustan.

Dennis' family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Thorne Crest Nursing Home and the St. Croix Hospice Staff for their exceptional care and support.

May he rest in peace and continue to guide us through the memories we hold dear.
