Delcie Brandt, a wonderful gardener, and great cook, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024, at the age of 80 years and 11 months, at Thorne Crest. Her legacy, rich with the beauty of meticulously tended gardens and the warmth of lovingly prepared meals, speaks volumes of her love for life's simple, yet profound, joys.

Born on February 7, 1943, to George R. Ward, Sr. & L. Delcie Ward, Delcie married Ronnie L. Brandt on May 29, 1976, at Manchester Lutheran Church in Manchester, MN. Delcie's passion for gardening was evident in the vibrant displays of flowers and vegetables she cultivated with care and skill. Her garden was not just a hobby; it was a reflection of her connection with nature and her joy in nurturing life. In the kitchen, Delcie's cooking skills, especially her well-liked pie crust, was a source of delight for her family and friends. Her cooking was more than just preparing meals; it was an expression of her love and a way to bring people together.

Delcie's life was also marked by her strong work ethic and determination. She faced life’s challenges with resilience, inspiring those around her with her steadfastness. One of her most significant achievements was fulfilling the dream she shared with Ronnie – owning their own home. This accomplishment was a testament to her hard work, love, and sacrifice.
