Deanne was born July 17, 1941, to parents Perry Peterson and Lucille Hautt in Blue Earth, MN. In 1972, Deanne met and married Steven Adams. They were married for 44 years until his passing in October 2016. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Mary and Stephanie.

Deanne was active in her local community. She was a volunteer with the local Girl Scouts for over thirty years in various positions. She was on the Trades and Labor Credit Union board of directors and Senior Housing board of directors. Deanne was also a member of the Post 56 Legion Auxiliary.

Deanne worked at various companies over the years, including Queens, and the Albert Lea School District. She was a member of the Union Center, Inc. Executive Board as the Treasurer, plus worked to maintain the building until 2020.

When she wasn't working or volunteering, she was an active gardener. She took great pride in her garden. She loved any plant that attracted wildlife to her yard. Her garden was once featured during the annual Art & Garden tour held in Albert Lea. Deanne also enjoyed reading and traveling. She loved going to the Freeborn County Fair, the Minnesota Zoo, as well as walking along Canal Park in Duluth, MN. She loved touring lighthouses, especially Splitrock Light House and the lighthouses in Door County, WI.

Deanne is survived by her daughters, Mary Adams and Stephanie Adams, both of Albert Lea, her siblings: Richard, Robert, Cindy and Michael, plus several nieces and nephews, along with her brother-in-law Terry Adams.

Deanne is preceded in death by her husband Steven Adams, her parents, two stepfathers, and her siblings Eugene Peterson and Kathleen Sickels, along with her in-laws, Francis and Ellen Adams, sister-in-law Judy Adams, and brother-in-law Wayne Adams.

Deanne will be cremated, and she will be interred at Hillcrest Cemetery in Spring 2026, along with her husband Steven. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
