David DeSart

David (Snobal) Charles DeSart passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025.

David was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota on June 26, 1961 to Don and Mary DeSart. He had a son, Leo, with Julie DeSart on January 12th, 2010. David was from the class of 1979. He participated in choir, Jazz Band and Junior Achievement. He was an inspirational speaker for those in recovery. He sponsored many people during his years of sobriety. David worked for various employers in the Albert Lea area throughout his life. David took pride in cooking for family holiday get-togethers. He loved spending time with his son. Leo. They enjoyed going to the movies and spending time together. He was happy when he purchased his Harley and enjoyed the time he was riding it.

He is survived by his son Leo, by his parents, Don and Mary DeSart. He is survived by his sister, Denise and her husband Jeff, brother Dan and his wife Sue DeSart, and brother Dean DeSart. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews and a great uncle to many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Scott and Leona DeSart and Charles and Lillian Buckmeier, aunts, uncles and cousins.

We want to thank the Albert Lea emergency department, especially Pat Blake, for their compassion to David while in their care. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the medical staff and chaplains of St Marys, Nassef tower, ICU floor 7 A for the support and care they showed David and our family during his time there.

His celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, August 28th at Bonnerup Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
