Darwin Lynn Peterson

Darwin Lynn Peterson, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at Bonnerup Funeral Service on Thursday, September 24 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville.

Darwin Peterson was born in Albert Lea, MN on November 14, 1956 to Palmer and Crystal (Hauge) Peterson. He grew up and received his schooling in Albert Lea. After school, he worked as a farmer in Freeborn County. He later worked as a boiler operator for Riverland Community College before retiring in. In February of 1994, he was united in marriage to Sandee Sundve. The couple made their home in Albert Lea until the time of Darwin’s death.

In his free time, Darwin enjoyed riding horses, riding his motorcycle, model trains, hunting, fishing, bull riding in rodeos, and anything outdoors. He loved woodworking and built boxes, furniture and even canoes. Above all his greatest love was spending time with his family.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Sandee, step son Ryan; daughter in law, Nicole; granddaughters, Addison and Brynn; father, Palmer; brother, Gary; sister in law, Linda; nephew, Justin; niece Nicole (Brian Livingston)
