Christina “Chris” M. Osmon, 50, of Albert Lea, MN passed away peacefully, from the comfort of her home on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. She was born to Donald and Mary Osmon on May 20, 1970 in Lincoln, NE.
Chris was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy (McIntire) Lang; her father, Donald Osmon; her brother, Cecil Osmon; and her nephew Gage Juntunen.
Chris will be deeply missed by her survivors, Mary (Crotteau) Osmon; her two siblings, Cindy (Osmon) Dowdell and Randy Osmon; her four children, Brittany Osmon, Courtney Osmon, Blaine Osmon, and Jared Osmon; her many nieces and nephews, most of whom were like her own children to her; her partner Don Stigney; and her cat, Chewy.
Chris was a fun, loving, spunky tomboy who is described by those close to her as the woman who would “give you the shirt off her back.” Chris loved blaring and dancing to her favorite songs in the kitchen, decorating for the holidays (especially Halloween), playing videogames on her PS4, and spending time with her friends and family. Anyone who played against her in an arcade game (Galaga was her favorite) was almost guaranteed to lose and she’d certainly tease them for it.
As a lifelong cat lover, a furry friend was always at her side, including her last moments on Earth.
Services are not being held at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Chris’s one wish was to finally be brought to visit the ocean, so her ashes will be spread at sea on a later date. Those who wish to celebrate her life are welcome to post memories and final words on her Facebook page.
Those who wish to celebrate Chris’s honor through donation are requested to make a tribute in her memory to the American Lung Association: https://www.lung.org/get-involved/ways-to-give
