Charlotte Mae (Sorenson) Vinge, age 92, died May 17, 2026.
A funeral service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, May 28 at Bonnerup Funeral Home. Reverend Eileen Woyen will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery.
Charlotte was born May 15, 1934 in Albert Lea to parents Carl and Mable (Frandle) Sorenson. She graduated in 1952 from Albert Lea High School. After graduation, she worked in the office at Wilson Foods. Later, she worked at J.C. Penneys and Hardees.
Charlotte was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a lifetime member. She had also been a member of the Elks, Eagles and Senior Center.
On October 20, 1956, Charlotte was united in marriage to Duane Vinge at Trinity Lutheran Church. They were blessed with two sons, Steven Vinge of Eden Prairie and Gary Vinge of Clarks Grove.
Through the years, Duane and Charlotte traveled with family on vacations in all fifty states. In their retirement years, they wintered at The Tropic Star Resort in Pharr, Texas.
Charlotte is survived by her sons, Steven Vinge and Gary (Loel) Vinge; granddaughters Lily and Bailey Vinge. Charlotte was a proud grandmother to both of her granddaughters. Sisters-in-law, Phyllis Sorenson and Caroline Sorenson; nephews, Mark Sorenson, Allen Meuer; nieces, Mary Runden, Julie (Joe) Schnieders, Cindy Oleson, Nancy (Gary) White, Mary Nell Fullerton, Diane Burdick and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Vinge on October 20, 2003; parents, Carl and Mabel Sorenson; father and mother-in-law, Nels and Amanda Vinge; brothers, LeMoyne (Lorraine) Sorenson, Roger Sorenson, Herbert Sorenson; sister, Dawn (Harold) Runden; nieces, Dr. Diane Sorenson, Patricia Sorenson; nephews, Larry Sorenson, Gary Boettcher and Bruce Burdick; sister-in-law Noreen (Ronald) Burdick.
