Charles Richard Stowell, born December 9, 1950, the fifth child of Warren and Irene (Kjos) Stowell, died on November 5, 2025, under the largest supermoon of 2025, while in hospice care in Rochester Minnesota. Except for a four-year stint in the U.S. Navy, Chuck lived at the same South Broadway address in Albert Lea his entire life. Being the baby brother and having priority sitting in the front seat of the car with mom and dad because there was no room for him in the back, he would refer to his four siblings as "the kids".

Chuck was a boy scout, loved hunting, fishing, Citizen Band radio (he was known as "Bushwhacker") high performance motorcycles, fast cars, electronics, rock music, and playing baseball with his older brother and friends on the lot next door. Being a huge fan of the Minnesota Twins, he was fortunate enough to attend the 1965 World Series game where the Twins defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1969 then joined the U.S. Navy where he served our country from 1970 - 1974. The first two years he was stationed in Germany serving as a radio communications specialist, (he also enjoyed playing on their softball team). The next two years he served on the missile destroyer USS Luce. He then returned to Albert Lea and joined his parents at Warren Wholesale, Inc., where he worked for the next 50 years. He took pride in his work there with his father assembling and providing thousands of custom prehung doors and windows to homeowners, and commercial businesses in southern Minnesota and northern lowa.

He is survived by his brother Warren Tom (Linda); sisters Mary, Diane, Dorothy (Bill); nephews Warren Lee (Lynette), Thomas (Shelly), Frederick; nieces Melissa (Thomas), Laura (Bobi), Cynthia (Jason), Sara, Diane (Amaru); great nephews and nieces, along with cousins. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the entire Mayo Clinic community for the excellent care he received over the last two years where he had been waging a heroic battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, 1101 US-69, Albert Lea, MN 56007, Pastor Mark Boorsma officiating, on November 15 at 1:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior to the service. To honor his memory the family suggests donations to Ascension Lutheran Church.
