Arnnetta Skelton

Funeral Services for Arnnetta Skelton, of New Richland will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at LeSueur River Lutheran Church, rural New Richland. The Reverend Brian Gegel will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00P.M.–7:00 P.M. on Monday at Friedrich-Bonnerup Funeral Home, New Richland and one hour before the service at the church. Arnnetta died in Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Waseca Hospital. She was 86. She was born on September 22, 1929, in Janesville, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Lena (Tietz) Rudolph. She graduated from Janesville High School and married Leo Skelton in June of 1949. They lived, farmed and raised their family northwest of New Richland. She later worked for Brown Printing in Waseca for 25 years before retiring. Faith was the cornerstone of Arnnetta's life. In earlier years she was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church in Waseca and was currently a member of LeSueur River Lutheran Church, rural New Richland. Faithful Sunday church attendance was always followed by homemade chicken dinners. In earlier years she spent time dancing and listening to Lawrence Welk. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, embroidery and loved to go out to eat and spend time with family and friends. Arnnetta is survived by her four children: Loren Skelton of New Richland, Audrey Wetzel of Mankato, Lowell (Joan) Skelton of Owatonna, Lavon (Bob) Hanna of New Richland; grandchildren: Lisa (Chad) Jensen, Sara Griffin and her children Bridget and Emily, Paul (Suzanna) Wetzel and sons Michael and Ryan, Jerry Wetzel, Jason (Terina) Skelton and children Anthony, Espn and Nole, PJ Skelton, Staphany Skelton (Brad Wesley), Samantha Skelton and her son Mason, Marcus (Jordan) Skelton, Mitchell Skelton, Jennifer (Ian) Redlin and children Isabel and Finley, Kristi Hanna and children Brandon, Brian and Emma, Melissa(Scott) Senst and sons Jackson and Jacob; a sister Grace (Dick) Severson of Windom, MN, and many nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo, and her sister Harriet Langenberg. Arnnetta will be fondly remembered for her kind, gracious, quite demeanor.
