Amanda Claire Beech

Amanda Claire Beech, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the age of 94. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Bonnerup Funeral & Cremation Service, 308 7th Avenue, Ellendale, Minnesota 56026. A one hour visitation will begin at 11 AM, followed by service at 12 PM. Amanda will be inurned at First Lutheran Cemetery in Ellendale following services.

Amanda was born January 1, 1932, in Ellendale, Minnesota, lived a rich and meaningful life filled with creativity, connection, and a love for the people and world around her.

Amanda grew up in Ellendale, Minnesota, and later made her home in Minneapolis, where she built a long and memorable career as a hairdresser. Throughout her years behind the chair, Amanda had the privilege of working with many well-known and famous clients, leaving an impression not only through her talent but through her warmth and personality.

Her creativity extended well beyond hairstyling. Amanda spent many years selling jewelry in Minneapolis and was also a published author. She had a deep love of writing and poetry, finding joy in putting her thoughts and feelings into words. She also loved to read and treasured time spent tending to her garden, where she could enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of nature.

Amanda was married to Curtis Beech for 10 years, and remained lifelong friends. Family was an important part of her life, and she leaves behind memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Ephriam Lageson; her sisters, Barbara Lageson and Helen Marie Zamora; and her brother, Lyle Lageson.

Amanda will be remembered for her creativity, independent spirit, love of words and beauty, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. Her stories, poetry, work, and memories will remain a lasting part of the legacy she leaves behind.

May she rest peacefully, surrounded by the beauty she found in life and the love of those who will forever remember her.
