Remembering the life of Alice D. Thorson…

The Funeral Service for Alice D. Thorson, former Albert Lea resident, will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. The Reverend John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery . Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Alice passed away on November 15, 2008. She was a resident of

Girlie Manor, Cross Plains , WI at the time of her death. Born June

25, 1914, in Forest City , IA daughter of Gust and Ida Hagen she

lived in Iowa and moved with her first husband and family to Albert Lea , MN , where she lived till moving to Wisconsin in 1997. Alice was a Gold Star Mother after losing her son Ron in the Korean War.

Alice is survived by sons Alan Lien (Mary), Spring Green, WI,

and Dan Lien, sister: Anna Mildred Tschirki of Britt , IA , many

grandchildren, great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Wilford Thorson and Theodore Lien; son Ronald Lien, daughters Joan Haines, infant daughters Betty and Evelyn. Sisters: Gladys Anderson, Violet Tschirki and a brother Gordon.
