William Schmidt

Funeral services for William (Bill) H. Schmidt of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake. Pastor Wendy Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.

Mr. Schmidt died Friday evening at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. He was 91 years of age.

William was born June 30, 1916 on the farm in Freeborn County, the son of William and Laura (Bailey) Schmidt. He attended country school in Freeborn County.

Bill was a dairy farmer and lived and worked on the farm in Freeborn County all of his life. He was an active member of the Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake.

In his free time, Bill enjoyed fishing and spending winters in Arizona,

Bill is survived by his caregiver and special friend Verla Eilers and family of Albert Lea, MN, and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Lowell and Jason Eilers (Verla?s son).
