Terry Walraven

Terry Walraven, age 58, passed away on November 20, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic in Albert Lea. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 3-6 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. Private family services are being held, and a private graveside service will be at a later date.
Terry was born on April 2, 1955 in Luverne, MN to Henry and Marie Walraven. He graduated from the Hills-Beaver Creek School in Hills, MN in 1973, and had vocational training in Chicago and Brainerd. In the late 1970s he moved to New Ulm, MN where he married Donna Wallner on October 3, 1987. He settled in Albert Lea in 1986.
Terry worked with his brothers at a nursery in Hills, MN, spent time at the New Ulm Greenhouse as a part owner, and in the late 90s began working for the Parks and Recreation Department in Albert Lea. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, and "junking" with Donna.
Terry is survived by his wife, Donna Walraven of Albert Lea; mother, Marie Walraven of Hills, MN; brothers, Delwyn Walraven of Hills, MN and Robert (Shirley) Walraven of Hills, MN; sister, Sandy (Gene) Smiraldo of Finnley, OH; several nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Walraven; and several aunts and uncles.
