Funeral Services for Robert "Bob" B. Miller, of Austin, MN will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday,
September 1, 2016, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. The Reverend Kent Otterman will officiate.
Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at
Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before the service. Bob died on Friday, August 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was 70. He was born on January 20, 1946, in Freeborn County the son of Arthur and Catherine (Anderson) Miller. He was united in marriage to Barbara K. Stiehl on November 17, 1966, in Northwood, Iowa. Bob had worked at Schweigert Meats in Albert Lea for several years.
One of Bob's hobbies was working on cars and he enjoyed teaching his skills to others. Dancing, listening to country music and trying his luck on scratch off lottery tickets were among some of his favorite pastimes. Bob will be remembered for his love of a good joke and the joy he got in pulling tricks on his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife Barbara; his children: Diane (Todd) Miller of Minnesota Lake, MN, Brenda (Scott) Schumaker of Grand Forks, ND, Shelly (Bob) Baker of Owatonna, MN and Robert Miller of Faribault, MN and his special friend Heidi Markham; grandchildren : Nathan (Emily) Miller, Amanda Miller, Brittany (Tyler) Hammer, Valerie Nemec, Cassandra Nemec and MaKenzie Spike; 5 great grandchildren, brother Lloyd (Arvis) Miller of Glenville, MN; brother-in-law Duane (Debbie) Stiehl of Troy, Texas, sister-in-law Diane Nesset of Albert Lea, MN her special friend Ralph Thostensen, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Dorothy Miller in childhood and Gloria Kaderabek, brother-in-law Charles Wulf.
