Obituary: Marlin E. Schmidt



The funeral service for Marlin E. Schmidt of Red Wing, Minnesota will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2004 at Pickerel Lake Concordia Lutheran Church, rural Albert Lea. Pastor Karen Behling will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service.



Marlin died Friday, February, 13, 2004 at the Red Wing Health Care Center where he was a resident. Marlin was born November 13, 1947 in Albert Lea, the son of Ernest and Mildred (Tollefson) Schmidt. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1965 and the University of Minnesota in 1970. He was an agricultural education teacher and an insurance salesman. He also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.



Marlin is survived by his brother Dennis and wife Linda of Albert Lea and sister Rosalyn and husband Kenneth Henricksen of Owatonna and nephews Daniel Schmidt, Jason Henricksen and John Henricksen. He was preceded in death by his parents
