, Mn, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Grace Lutheran Church of Albert Lea. Pastor Lyndy West will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in

Marian died Sunday, November 30, 2008 surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at St Johns Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. She was 84 years of age.
Marian was born March 30, 1924 in Rake

, the daughter of Lars and Marit (Ranes) Honstad. She graduated from high school in Rake
Iowa
. Marian was united in marriage to Kenneth A. Odson on May 20, 1942 in Rake, IA. Together they made there home in
Albert Lea
since 1968.
Marian had been employed for a short time at Land-O-lakes. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren for many years.
Marian was a member of the
Grace
Lutheran
Church
and was active in the Sharing and Caring. She loved making lutefisk and lefse, playing cards, traveling to
Texas
and northern
Minnesota
mostly her trip to
Norway
in the 1980’s. Spending time with family was a very important part of her life.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Judy Nelson, Sister Rhoda Thompson and Brothers Sam and Otis Honstad. Brothers in law; Lloyd Thompson, Harlan Hellekson, Reiner Johnson, Bill Murra and sister in law; Erma Honstad.
