Mae Anderson

Funeral service for Mae Anderson, 92, of Albert Lea will be at 2:00 p.m.Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Reverend Curtis Zieske and Reverend Marcia Hall will officiate. Interment will be at North Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church.



Mae died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Good Samaritan Center. Mae was born in Albert Lea on April 6, 1917 the daughter of Agnus and Jens Olson. She married Hartvick T. Anderson on August 7, 1936. Mae and Hartvick lived in Clarks Grove and then in Hartland and farmed most of their married life. Both were active members of the North Freeborn Lutheran Church where they enjoyed volunteering their time. Mae was also the Sunday School Superintendent for many years. After the death of her husband, Mae eventually moved into the Senior Towers. She was the second person to move in there. She made many good friends while she lived there. Mae enjoyed getting together

with her friends and playing cards on Sundays, embroidering and listening to old time music. She was also well know for her love of sweets. She loved her banana splits and going out for ice cream. She enjoyed and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.



Mae is survived by her daughter Betty Kleinbeck of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Charla (Jeremy) DePoppe of Mason City, IA, Kristi Kleinbeck of Seattle, WA, Ryan Kleinbeck of Alden, MN, Mike (Sandy) Christensen of Albert Lea, Tom (Brenda) Christensen of Mankato, MN, Donna (Vic) Avery of Albert Lea, Jerry (Robin) Chapman of Albert Lea, Robert (Lynn) Chapman of AZ. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.



Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband (Hartvick), daughter Harriett Christensen, daughter Alice Chapman, son Earl Anderson, sister Lilly Nelson, brother Bernard Olson, brother Harvey Olson, granddaughter Nancy Arp, great grandson Scott Arp and son-in-law Arlan Kleinbeck.



Mae will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
