Obituary for LaVonne J. Jackson
The memorial service for LaVonne J. Jackson will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, MN. The Reverend Todd Walsh will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
LaVonne died at her home in the arms of her loving husband, Leo on Friday, September 30, 2005. She was 69 years old.
LaVonne was born in New Richland, MN on October 14, 1935, the daughter of Lorenz and Leila (Kruger) Miller. She was a 1953 graduate of New Richland High School.
On June 23, 1956 she was united in marriage with Leo Jackson. They are members of Grace Lutheran Church. LaVonne had worked for the Good Samaritan Center for several years. Her home was important to her and she especially loved being with her family and neighbor children. She enjoyed flowers, particularly her violets and birds: humming birds, loons, and Baltimore orioles and cardinals. She liked going on family fishing trips up north, and Branson, MO.
LaVonne is survived by her husband, Leo of Albert Lea; three children: Carol (Matt) Williams of Puyallup, WA, Bob (Angie) Jackson of Albert Lea, MN and Laurie Jackson of Shelton, WA; special granddaughter, Holly Jackson of Albert Lea, MN; two brothers: William (Bernice) Miller and O?Dean (Regina) Miller of New Richland, MN; four sisters-in-law: Corrine Miller of Waseca, MN, Marjorie Boelman of Austin, MN, Theresa Jackson of Albert Lea, MN, Vivian Jackson of San Antonio, TX; special friend, Fr. Donald Zenk of Austin, MN; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Irene and one brother, Robert
