Obituary for Katrina K. Blouin
The funeral service for Katrina K. Blouin will be at 11:00 AM Monday, September 20, 2004, at First Lutheran Church, Ellendale, MN. The Reverend Robert Bergland will officiate. Burial will be in Owatonna Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
Katrina died on Monday, September 13, 2004, at Mission Hospital, Ashville, NC. She was 34 years old.
Katrina was born in Albert Lea, MN on August 6, 1970, the daughter of Jerome and Janice (Bell) Blouin. She had been baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden, MN and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. She was a 1988 graduate of NRHEG High School.
During her life Katrina had lived in Ellendale, Owatonna and for the past 6 years in North Carolina. She had worked at Owatonna Lamp Co. and Viracon in Owatonna, MN and a furniture manufacturing company and Humane Society in North Carolina. Katrina was a talented carpenter/artist and enjoyed working with animals and shopping.
Katrina is survived by her parents Jerome and Tanya Blouin of Ellendale, MN; two sisters: Angela Sikel of Ellendale, MN and Tiffany Mischke of Owatonna, MN; one brother, Daniel Mischke of Hope, MN; nieces and nephews: McKayla and Jacob Sikel of Ellendale, MN and Sadie Mollenhauer of Owatonna, MN; grandmothers: Millie Bell of Chisago City, MN and Patricia Cassen of Hope, MN; special friend, Jeremy Hollifield of Leicester, NC; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Bell; stepmother, Ruth Ann Dodge Blouin; grandparents: George and Jean Blouin, Clifford Bell and Robert Cassen, Frances and Gloria Pelkey.
