Obituary for Gerald "Jerry" O. Hendrickson



The funeral service for Gerald "Jerry" O. Hendrickson will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, MN. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before the service at the church.



Jerry died on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at his home in Albert Lea, MN. He was 57 years old.



Jerry was born in Albert Lea, MN on November 11, 1947, the son of Herman and Agnes (Iverson) Hendrickson. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church and attended Albert Lea schools.



On September 2, 1967 he was united in marriage with Darlene Johnson at Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.



Jerry had worked for 36 years for Ventura Foods. He had been a member of the Fountain Lake Sportsman Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, fishing and watching the Vikings play football.



Jerry is survived by his wife, Darlene of Albert Lea; two children: Ann (John) Malay of Albert Lea, Jon Hendrickson and his special friend, Hilary Schuhmacher of Albert Lea; four grandchildren: Calvin Hendrickson of Albert Lea, Zachary, Emily and Taggart Malay of Albert Lea; three sisters: Frances (Jerry) Pixley of Northwood, Iowa, Barb (Jim) Hayden of Cottage Grove, MN, Saralyn (Don) Williamson of Conyers GA; one brother, Robert Hendrickson of Albert Lea; mother-in-law, Ruth Werner of Albert Lea; three sisters-in-law: Delores (Orien) Loe of Albert Lea, Marlene (Red) Johanson of Albert Lea, Julie Telles of Albert Lea; four brothers-in-law: Merrill (Gail) Johnson of New Richland, MN, Steven (Sandi) Johnson of Albert Lea, Gilbert (Mary) Johnson of Albert Lea, Paul Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; many nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother in infancy and father-in-law, Selmer Johnson.
