Remembering the life of Esther D.M. Erdman.



The Funeral Service for Esther D.M. Erdman, of 311 W. 7th Street, Albert Lea, will be

held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 1, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.

The Reverend Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00p.m. on Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service,

Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.



Esther died at her home on Wednesday, February 25, 2004. She was 92.



She was born on May 25, 1911, in Mapleton, MN., the daughter of Herman and

Hattie (Maas) Hawker.

Her parents died from T.B. when Esther was just a young girl.

She married Arnold Erdman, and they had made their home in Albert Lea since the

early 1950s.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she had been active in circle.



She enjoyed card club, bowling and preparing noon lunches for her family.



She is survived by her children: Doris (Jerry) Hansen of Albert Lea, Arnold "Butch"

(Margaret) Erdman of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Dale Erdman of Norfolk, Virginia,

Shirley Erdman of Albert Lea, and Jackie (Barry) Madson of Eden Prairie, MN.,

son-in-law Pete (Donna Jean) Peterson of Mankato;

grandchildren: Sandi (Rod) Christensen of Hayward, MN., Teresa (Phil) Adams of

Albert Lea, Tammy (Jerred) Jerdee of Hayward, Mike (Lora) Erdman of Georgia, Stacy

(Chris) Kirsch of Owatonna, Heather (Chris) Nicosia of Arizona, Linda (Mark) Meyer of Mankato,

Terri ( Jeff) Linden of Texas, Gary Peterson of Mankato, David (Cheryl) Peterson of

Mankato, Denny (Lois) Peterson of Mankato, Tracy Madson of Minnetonka; 25 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; brothers Lyle "Bob" Hawker of Rush City, MN., Melinda "Suse" Kaduce of

Fairmont, MN., Leora "Kit" Taylor of Mankato, MN., sisters-in-law Rose Erdman, of Hastings, MN., Gen Erdman of St. Paul Park, MN., Florence Morey of Hastings, and several nieces and

nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: twins Otto and Henry, Marvin "Jack"

Ervin "Pete"; daughter Betty Peterson, one great granddaughter Erika Kirsch.
