Dwaine Bridley

April 10, 1931 — November 20, 2015

Dwaine Elwood Bridley, 84, of Gordonsville, died Friday evening November 20, 2015 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Born April 10, 1931 in Glenville, he was the son of the late Clarence H. Bridley and Ruth (Billie Anderson) Bridley.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 PM at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel on Friday, December 11, 2015. A visitation will take place starting at 2:30 and last until the start of the service. Inurnment will be at a later time in the State Line Cemetery. Dwaine was the owner and operator of Bridley's Auto Salvage, north of Gordonsville for more than 60 years and was still working at the time of his passing. Cars were his passion, evident with his early years in racing. As a hobby, he collected and sold antiques for a time. He loved horses where he participated in wagon trains, driving his replicated Wells Fargo stage coach with a six- or eight-horse hitch. Dwaine served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri during the Korean conflict, and before starting his business, worked at Wilson's Packing Plant in Albert Lea.

He is survived by his daughter Deby Bridley Huckins and her husband Criss of Sulphur, Louisiana; his son Shane Bridley and his wife Annette of Emmons; his loving sister Darla Bridley Beighley of Albert Lea, as well as a nephew, nieces and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his wife Alice Jeanette Hanson Bridley, and sister Darlene Bridley Doughty.
